What people use it for

In the bodybuilding and body-recomposition crowd, people talk about it for building lean muscle, and it gets mentioned as a more obscure 'clinical SARM' beyond the common ones. These uses are anecdotal and are not an approved or proven use.

What the science shows

Unlike most SARMs, this one actually reached small, early human trials, in healthy older adults and in people with muscle weakness from the lung disease COPD. Those studies saw a rise in lean body mass, but they did not prove any real-world gym, athletic, or body-shaping benefit.

The catch

The FDA says SARMs are not approved for people and are sold illegally in body-building products that are often mislabeled. Sport authorities (WADA) ban all SARMs at all times as S1.2 anabolic agents. In human studies this drug lowered HDL ('good') cholesterol and raised liver enzymes, which is a sign of liver strain, and like other SARMs it carries the class risk of suppressing the body's own testosterone.
