What this tool does

Generates an educational step-down schedule by reversing the FDA-labeled GLP-1 escalation ladders. Surfaces weight-stabilization checkpoints between steps. Computes PK-derived carryover values so the schedule reflects the half-life of the compound, not just calendar time.

How the math works

Reverses the existing branded escalation-ladder dataset (Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Saxenda, Victoza). Carryover at each step is computed from the same PK constants used in the PK simulator. Weight-stabilization checkpoints are spaced by published 4-5 half-life rules so the next step starts from a near-steady-state baseline. A max-week cap prevents schedules longer than published evidence supports.

What the tool will not do

It is educational, not prescriptive. The schedule is not personalized; it does not own a clinical decision. Each step shows a prescriber-deferral caption inline. Compliance posture is enforced by negative substring tests in taperContent.ts (PRO_TOOLS.md § Compliance Posture).
