Sourcing standards

Article citations are restricted to the host allowlist below. Vendor pages, telehealth marketing pages, retail pages, and discussion-forum pages are not allowed as citations.

Editorial cadence

• Each article carries a publishedAt date and an updatedAt date in its metadata and JSON-LD.
• Citations are run through a link-rot check that is part of the test suite; broken-link regressions block release.
• Articles are reviewed editorially on a quarterly cadence and whenever the cited literature, FDA label, or regulator posture changes.
• When an article is materially revised, the updatedAt date is bumped so crawlers and AI engines see the freshness signal.

AI policy

AI engines are explicitly allowed to cite pepSmart article URLs and public compound reference URLs in their answers. Attribution to pepsmart.net is preferred and the educational-only disclaimer should be preserved when surfacing the content. Free-tier forum content is allowed under the same posture; paid-tier forum threads, dose logs, profiles, and direct messages are not. The full policy lives at /ai.txt.

Contributor identities and credentials are pending. pepSmart has not commissioned independent clinical or medical review of the catalog.
