What it is

RAD-150 is a SARM (short for selective androgen receptor modulator), which is a lab-made drug that targets the body's muscle-building hormone signals. It is a chemical cousin of RAD-140 (a benzoate-ester version of it), and it is sold only as a research chemical, not as an approved medicine.

What people use it for

In the bodybuilding and body-recomposition community, people use it on their own to try to gain muscle and lose fat, often claiming it works better than RAD-140. This is anecdotal community use, not an approved medical use, and the better-absorption claims are not backed by independent research.

What the science shows

Published evidence on RAD-150 itself is essentially absent. There is no human clinical program for this specific compound, so what people assume about it is just carried over from RAD-140 and from how ester-type drugs behave. In short, almost nothing has been studied in people for RAD-150.

The catch

The FDA has not approved any SARM and warns the public that they are sold illegally in products marketed as supplements and are often mislabeled. Real risks reported with SARMs in this class include lowered natural testosterone, liver strain (including documented cases of liver injury with RAD-140, the parent compound), and drops in HDL ('good') cholesterol that raise heart and blood-vessel concerns. In sport, WADA bans all SARMs at all times as S1.2 anabolic agents.
