GLP-1 conversion calculator
Convert a GLP-1 weekly dose in milligrams to a U-100 syringe unit count and milliliter draw from a research-vial concentration.
What this calculator returns
- The U-100 insulin syringe unit count for the chosen weekly dose.
- The equivalent draw volume in milliliters.
- Sub-1-unit and over-100-unit measurement warnings when relevant.
Formula and example
Draw volume in ml equals dose in mg divided by concentration in mg/ml.
U-100 syringe units equal draw volume multiplied by 100, because 1 U-100 unit equals 0.01 ml.
Worked example: A 0.25 mg dose from a 2.5 mg/ml vial equals 0.1 ml, which reads as 10 U-100 units.
Warnings and boundaries
- Sub-1-unit draws are hard to measure on a standard 100-unit barrel.
- Over-100-unit draws exceed a single 1 ml U-100 syringe barrel.
- FDA-approved pens have their own instructions and are not the same workflow as a reconstituted research vial.
