Peptide half-life calculator
Estimate peptide and GLP-1 half-life decay, time to near-elimination, and approximate steady state from cited reference half-lives.
What this calculator returns
- The cited terminal half-life for the selected reference compound.
- The modeled single-dose fraction remaining after the entered elapsed hours.
- Time to about 95% elimination and approximate steady state.
Formula and example
Single-dose remaining fraction is modeled as 0.5 raised to elapsed time divided by terminal half-life. A compound with a 24-hour half-life has about 50% remaining after 24 hours and about 25% remaining after 48 hours.
The 95% elimination reference uses 4.32 half-lives. The steady-state reference uses 5 half-lives on a fixed dosing interval. Both are teaching approximations, not a personal prediction.
Worked example: A compound with a 24-hour half-life has about 50% remaining after 24 hours and about 25% remaining after 48 hours.
Warnings and boundaries
- This is first-order single-dose decay, not a personalized PK curve.
- Multi-dose accumulation is not modeled on the free page.
- Half-life references are educational constants and can vary by population and label source.
